No problem. I actually did it wrong the first time. I at’d my own public key not the one from nostr.directory that was my misunderstanding 😂

Did this work for you? I tried and it hasn’t yet 😢 #[3]

#[0] Verifying My Public Key: "gregorygmwhite"

Good to know. Will avoid

I’ll try that next 😊 thanks!

I used Damus 🤔

I put in the public key but Damus seems to format it with the link to the actual profile.

Is there a client that’s more reliable?

Anyone know why this didn’t verify with Nostr.directory?

Not quite what you asked for but I did write an explainer that was meant for more everyday folks.

#[2]

Going to write a follow up soon about various Nostr use cases (slack equivalent, journalistic publication, signal/WhatsApp equivalent, etc)

That makes sense 🤔

Does Nostr allow me to see the timeline of anyone if I have their public key?

I’m sure I can’t see the DMs without the private key but I imagine I just need a public key to ask for the feed for a given public key.

I’ve always wanted that on Twitter to see what other people are seeing.

I also think the next bottleneck will be a way for folks to easily stand up a relay and charge for it.

I’m thinking of an open source relay manager that can help implement blacklisting clients who are spamming and allow clients to pay a recurring or per note fee.

Anyone working on that? I wanna help

Does that note ID link to anything for anyone? On Damus it’s just a note ID

I do think lightning payments per post or to use a relay make sense in the near future, maybe POW but I’m not sure how it would work
