Hell yeah this is great way to power a wallet business. What’s the simplest way to just accept payment to a lightning address? Is it as simple as creating a lightning invoice but hardcode the destination to my corporate wallet?

Civilisation is whatever reduces violence between humans.
Conquest and theft are the base way to resolve conflicts between humans, and any system we put into place that reduces that is an improvement.
Monarchy, theocracy, communism were all innovations that reduced violence for a time but each had a ceiling in its effectiveness because centralized power always leads to corruption.
Capitalism is one of the most civilizing forces imaginable. Pushing violent conflict for scarce resources into the realm of competition in business.
Democracy pushes political violence into the realm of campaigns and strategic caucusing.
These two systems together have no upper limit on how many people they can help, but they backslide when the money is broken.
Both need Bitcoin to continue civilising the world and spreading prosperity and freedom throughout the world.
Glad to know the people of Nostr because yall are soldiers that fight for fairness, freedom, and human flourishing. Every day I see something that makes the future seem brighter.

It requires daily practice reinforced by taking action to improve the world around you.

At the very least it’s taking out a massive loan to invest, we don’t have surpluses to invest.
And I doubt it’ll beat the index funds, so it’s just a huge losing proposition.

I think they would. They’d have less influence and fewer of their products would be profitable, but a Bitcoin future likely involves Bitcoin banks.

I’m in Argentina and I can’t withdraw money from an ATM using my US debit card without a 25% fee but I can’t go to a money changing place and send Bitcoin to get local money. And I can’t find any working Bitcoin ATMs.
This is such a stupid problem.
There would be serious money in being one of those folks in the park who does money changing but with Bitcoin. Just hold pesos in cash and accept lightning or on chain payments. You could orange pill a ton of folks and save everyone a ton of money. Way more accessible than requiring people to bring US dollars in cash.

I’m in Buenos Aires and someone has painted the raw Bitcoin genesis block on a house near where I’m staying. Love it.
Just arrived in Buenos Aires, it’s a beautiful city and the people are very friendly (even when I attempt my broken Spanish 😅)
Does anyone have advice on how to pay with Bitcoin or how to exchange Bitcoin for pesos to spend locally? It’s easy to be eaten alive by exchange fees out here.

Happy to debate if that’s something you’re open to. I often change my mind when presented with good arguments.
I’m hopefully for a fully decentralized Bitcoin future but I’m also realistic I haven’t seen good solutions to doing everyone on chain and cheaply without compromising something critical about Bitcoin.
If we get to a future as I mentioned in my original post things are better than today and can evolve forward to an ideal future when the right solution comes together
