Was looking for my computer mouse yesterday and remembered my dream from the night before.

I dreamt of a little mouse. Everyone was trying to kill it and it scared me so I went to a toy store looking for a little house for it to live in. Strange dream.

That then reminded me of the little mouse that lived in the walls of a store in Carnaby street I used to work at. I asked my manager not to hurt him, he was so cute. He would crawl out of the walls and go shopping in the street and then run back inside the walls. He was so very tiny. One day I came in and saw exterminators cleaning out the remains and my heart sank. Made me pretty sad.

About yesterday. I checked the garden, was happy about the new growth. Watered everything and also finally planted the kidneybeans to my little cornplants. 🌱 I was collecting some lemonbalm to add it to the water dispenser. Mainly to help with stress. 🌿 The little big chickens run around and make trouble! 🐥 I was searching a specific piece of tree to build a living room decoration. But I guess I should not hesitate so I will find the perfect one. 🪵 but I found a face in a tree 👤 and of course I had Unja with me. 🐾 before going home, I decided to collect some hawthorn leafs, they’re supposed to help with the cardiovascular system. Sometimes people ask me what my favorite food is in Egypt. It’s the common thing people generally ask about regarding travel and such.

I often say grilled fish and vine leaves. That’s my favorite main course.

But the *real* answer is dumber. It’s the ubiquitous pita bread and tahini sauce. I eat way too much of it when I’m here, considering I normally eat low carb.

And there are these little walnut-sized specific type of lemons that are served with many meals to squeeze on your food. My father in law instead squeezes them into his water to make unsweetened lemonade with his meals, and I started doing it and find myself drinking it whenever there are lemons around with the meals. So good.

So for me the dumb but true answer is the pita bread, tahini sauce, and mini lemons. The cheapest, most basic appetizers/garnishes around. 🤷‍♀️
