@blinkbtc | I am a world API, connecting Bitcoiners worldwide (try me) | @GlobalBTCfest Spaces host interviewed ~500 maxis in 50+ countries 🌎🌍🌏

The checklist above has been extensively tested (on over 500 people).

Background:

I developed this definition to be able to do selection of guests for our podcast @GlobalBTCFest where we would scout for maxis in countries across the world. Most people that we had on the show, were not part of the Bitcoin influencer circle, and had never been on a podcast. Making us the first tasked with assessing the ”maxiness”.

I found existing definitions of maximalism inadequate to work as a screening tool. Eventually the checklist developed. I have tested it extensively. We did over 50 countries and had close to 500 maxis on the show.

Before I developed this definition we would end up with people on the show that were not maxis and they would ruin the vibe (as the concept was that we were interviewing a whole group of maxis together) as people would start arguing with the non-maxi when they said uninformed things.

To me a ”Bitcoin maximalist” is a person that:

1. Recognizes that fiat money is the biggest problem humanity is facing (or one of the biggest)

2. Believes Bitcoin (BTC) is the best shot we have at a solution to that problem

3. Prioritizes Bitcoin’s long-term success over their short-term gains

A lot of people qualify for the first two criteria. Very few also live by the third.

I’ve had it for a long time and didn’t feel like switching, now it’s either abandon ship completely or try here

and yes, I’m finally here to hang, so sick of all the clickbait on Twitter

I hope Nostr can be more tolerable

all 3 were in South Africa 🇿🇦

hmmm … what’s cooking?

Bitcoin must be an exclusive community. You can’t invite the fools, the scammers and the mentally ill when the leaders of the future meet to have productive discussions.
