a logic posit at the automatic junction

yeah it got to be something a bit more specialized.

I see a lot of interesting tech discussions but in the end it’s always you gotta figure it all out and there’s a million ways to mess it up

A lot of really smart non technical people went to Bluesky to escape the noise from Twitter

I think Nostr has strength in focusing on local business context and meetups

But if you’re selling the whole Bitcoin dream I am certain that the whales are actually in those closed expensive subscription sites talking to other billionaires so there isn’t much trickle down at the moment

Really hard to build hype that way with people that have to earn it all

I know right! Robots build nearly everything in China as well. It’s all happening so fast. I think meanwhile AI was supposed to take over the designing and diagnosing here but it’s taking too long.

The only difference I can see is that there are more than one source of data - many relays instead of main servers. This asynchronous architecture makes this a difference coding paradigm to build a timeline.

I think it’s really useful to flip the paradigm. To call all the energy used for heat the thing that wanted when it’s wanted and all the computation be it for Bitcoin or AI model building the extra benefit. The “waste” would be the amount of energy going towards computation vs heating up a simple tungsten wire. The difference is that chips cannot be heated to boil water or fry veggies but it can be used for warm water, warm air and even dehydrating which is already a lot of opportunity to replace tungsten with silicon.

It does if photos or videos load late. But mostly the skipping back happens when returning from a thread. This does not happen in other Twitter style timeline apps.

I think cows might do this to offer each other relief if not milked in time.

I assume it is because new posts are loaded. Bluesky somehow knows to freeze the loading of the timeline until I hit the home button. Is it because Damus is a passive listener for events or why does it try to load new stuff unless I’m at the beginning?

Why does Damus not find its way back to the part of the timeline it was at when I came back from reading and commenting a thread? Always I have to scroll pasta bunch of stuff I already saw.

Just FYI It keeps saying in the Damus notifications you zapped me but it’s not arriving.
