We are the 20%
I have read that only 20% of the population actually understand or appreciate art. There are a lot who give lip service to the appreciation of art, but actually have no clue about the true nature of artistic endeavour.
Many people think that art is just pretty pictures for wall decoration. Expose them to a brilliant piece of modern expressionism and they say, "But … what's it of?"
There are those that say "there is no money to be made in art". That makes me wonder what it must be like to live in a world of money with no art.
I think I would say - "there is no art in money". Given the choice of a world of money, or a world of art, I would choose art.
What would be the use of money. Looking at it does nothing. I fear that those people with money look at art and also see nothing.
It is my personal conviction that the real value in existence comes from the artists, musicians, composers, writers, designers and visionaries in our society. It is a real pity that these people never get involved with the running or leading of society in a political role. Rather just act as social watchdogs gathering immense followings yet lacking any real clout.
This has always been the way and will continue to be so. Therefore it is up to us, the 20%, to ensure that the cultures of our world remain intact and get the support and necessary funding to ensure their survival and not be trodden into the oil stained detritus of that mindless beast, heavy industry.

Society & Existence.
Those who resist change eliminate all freedom of choice and become prisoners of their own fear.
The society that eliminates all misery eliminates also all freedom of choice.
It’s all about resolve. Life can be anything that you want as long as you want it enough to rough it out, take the risks and rise to the challenges.
Happiness is an illusion. Happiness can only be obtained by contentment and that state is often just a condition of the mind. I you want to be happy then you must keep your expectations real. Stop dreaming and start doing.
Sometimes to really experience the full nature of existence you need to step outside the Controlled Zone.

God is …
Some thoughts on the existence of God and the human condition
God does not exist; God is.
Since 1964 when I read about Carl Jung’s Collective Unconscious Mind I have been convinced that we are all connected. Having read and studied further in the realms if Shinto, Zen and other spiritual paths in life I have extended that thinking to include all life forms and even the rocks and trees. Everything is connected.
Recently I have read that researchers have discovered that the mind exists outside the body. So let’s add this into the equation too.
This would then mean that when our physical body dies our mind is free of whatever tethers it and can roam the Universe seeking a new home, body, or whatever it needs, if anything.
I propose that we are all God and that we all exist as a part of the Universal Life Force, infinitely connected to all things and each other, both past and present.
God is not a person, being, ghost, single spirit of any actual definable thing.
This may be where the concerns of the atheists are rooted; the personification and objectification of God.
The concept of God as some divine spirit person is, however, necessary; not all people can embrace the fact that they are responsible for their own existence and not enacting the will of God.
There is a force that links all matter wherever it may be. All life forms, all plants, animals and humans. Even the rocks, sands and waters of the planet.
Most civilisations and societies try and explain this as God, but personally I think that is far to limiting and minimised by humanly perceived concepts. God is a good label though, and sits well with the majority of humanity.
Those of us that want to think further and delve into the very fabric of the universe are more likely to embrace the asian concept of Ki or Ch’i.

Thanks for checking my project out. Apparatus is the first album that I have uploaded to Wavlake. Normally I just upload singles but decided to consolidate these tracks. I plan to do the same with other tracks sometime later.
