#homeschool Bird sensory bin, bird books, bird worksheets, bird crafts for a 4yo.

She knows words like predator, hatchling, beak, can recognize a cardinal, a bald eagle, a wren, etc.

I'm very proud of her!

While I was reading Pandas (Amazing animals) book, she built the panda's habitat. When she asked if the panda was afraid of anything (predators), we had to look for the answer on Google. And the answer was: snow leopard. Luckily we found a leopard so we could add that to our habitat.

After that we used one of our puzzles to find Asia and China.

Next we had some reading, writing and beginning sounds practice both with wooden letters, on paper and on chalkboard.

She kept thinking about the pandas for quite some time, hence the panda drawing. And she kept going back to the sensory bin adding extra human figurines and magnatiles (imaginative play).

homemade learning cards phonemic awareness, and counting. used two different ways:

used with clothespins: extra fine motor skill and hand muscles practice

used on the magnetic chalkboard

orange card instruction: where do you here the 'G' sound in the word DOG

phonological awareness (phonemic in this activity) is a crucial skill for learning to read.

Spring sensory bin with leprechauns and gold. Reading, counting, crocodile mouth, scale, colors of the rainbow, bead bracelet. we had a lot of fun. I guess leprechauns are her favorite mysterious creatures now.

This is what #homeschool looks like in our house. And she's not even 4 yet.

It's carnival season (farsang) in Hungary. This is how we try to keep that tradition far away from Hungary. And her favorite color is orange.
