I was thinking about this and it's a particularly bad position to be in when your countries political machinery is so massively influenced by businessmen/oligarchs from other countries.
#Labour aren't immune to this, especially when you consider the Blair institute which has hundreds of staff and lots of influence plus US and Saudi funding. Or private funders like Peter Hearn of MPM Connect who now make up most of UK Labour Party funding.
