Nostr Apps
long time no see, nostr!
His metaphors might be a bit one-sided 😂. Calling Farcaster a "casino" is an exaggeration, but it has attracted more degens than Nostr, though it still thrives on a community-driven builder culture.
He mentioned the history of software and internet development, has been a series of swings between centralization and decentralization. Nostr stands out as one of the most decentralized social protocols, giving users full control over their data.
However, this often means app development is community-driven, lacking the polish and competitiveness of mature teams, leading to a poorer user experience with weaker UI/UX and less sophisticated algorithms compared to platforms like Twitter and Threads. In exploring the creator economy, tipping alone isn’t an attractive and sustainable long-term model.
Echoing his "We make the road by walking", I look forward to the Nostr eco flourishing, which will require contributions from believers in DeSoc and top dev teams, which is also a challenge for Farcaster eco.
Ideally, decentralized social networks should foster greater openness and interoperability. However, the reality is that various protocols are creating isolated silos. Consequently, we need bridges to connect these disparate entities and enable seamless interaction.

if there's still anyone who cares about the real “data ownership”…
I'm drawn to Degen Communism for its alignment with our chaotic world, advocating for both bold individuals and the common good. It's about fostering a future where dynamic growth and fairness coexist, ensuring a prosperous world for all, not just the few.

It’s time to totally drop out 𝕏 😆
Just now, my Threads account was permanently disabled for "violating community guidelines" 🫢
The specific reason is unknown to me, as I only posted friendly posts. This is why we need Nostr.
Nostr just needs a good client to filter out the noise.

Hello world via FreeFrom!
Plebstr seems to be a nice client for iOS.

Why is anarchism declining? IMO, few grasp Knowledge, Skills & Actions together:
- Knowledge (grasp theory/history/thinkers)
- Skills (master useful tech skills: ICT, AI, blockchain, encryption, etc.)
- Actions (direct actions in streets, not just theory).
Data ownership includes two aspects at least:
Access rights - always access & use data, won't be lost/inaccessible.
Control rights - fully control use, processing & publication. Determine access, conditions, editing, modification, deletion. Absolute authority over data operations.
Users have a limited amount of energy, so they must choose between Twitter, Bluesky, Mastodon, Nostr, Lens, and Farcaster. The sense of community is crucial since users won't stay if they can't find valuable information. The number of Nostr users has grown rapidly, but the quality has not kept up.
