They had experienced racism in Alabama. They experienced it in Los Angeles. My mom and dad worked on the West Coast Chitlin Circuit from Vancouver to Tijuana. They experienced racism. Mom had white,Latino and Asian friends. Brought them to our house all the time. That's how we learned to love and respect one another. She always said that we all have the same color blood and "p***y" inside.
