I found the answer to my question. Running a Monero Node is similar to installing Bitcoin Core. Could be a nice side project.

This little healthy correction is perfect. Time to buy the dip!

Hello #Nostr Fam!

This series of events with a Bitcoin all time high at the corner brings me back so memories of how I evolved in this space. Here is my story:

It all started in Spring 2021, already 3 years ago. While driving back from work, I was following a city bus with an advertisement for BTC ATM. I’ve heard co-workers talking about it, I’ve had high school friends blasting Facebook about it, I was now curious. I had to know more.

I fell in the rabbit hole of Crypto, blockchain and wallets. Unfortunately I did not know any better than Google so I googled which crypto had the best predictions. I ended up with a bag of BTC, LTC, ETH and ADA. I also started to mine ETC. After the 2021 bull run while I was buying the top, things didn’t go to well after.

Then came 2022. Once I went further down into the rabbit hole, I was exploring side chain with high yield in the hope of recovering from my “buy the top” loss. I explored BSC, Cronos, Callisto Network and a bunch more. My Yield farming degenerates activity taught me what was impermanent loss at a cost and NFT Flipping taught me what was a rug pull. Celsius was also a humiliating experience.

I was convinced that I wanted to work in that field so took a course in Blockchain Architecture and Solidity programming and discovered how meaningless and easy is to spin your own private blockchain. By the end of 2022, I hit bottom and converted everything in BTC, ready to throw the towel.

Early 2023, I joined #Nostr and I fell in the BTC rabbit hole. Learnt how to use Linux, built my own BTC node and my own Lightning Node bare metal. Fell a bit into the conspiracy theory and “fuck bank” movement. It was as intoxicating as my crypto degen phase. You can as easily loose sight of yourself in the Bitcoin verse.

Early 2024, I did a step back. Now I can clearly see that I am not a Shitcoiner but I love the technological side of it. I am not a Bitcoiner but believe in the store of value. I am not an anti-government or capitalism but believe in privacy. I found a passion in mining/data center and self hosting.

I have found my equilibrium and I am not ashamed to create a note about it on #Nostr

Thank you if you took the time to read and please take the time to write and share your own journey!

Oh yeah, the same ones that are for decentralization but uses WOS and Umbrel?

Want to know my story?

My story isn't all that special, but it's mine, you know?

I'm from Asia, just a regular family with a hardworking dad, a mom who takes care of the house, and a bunch of rowdy siblings.

I'm the oldest, so I had to grow up fast. Had to think about stuff like my dad's debts, making a good career, and looking after my family.

Since I was in 8th grade, I've had this dream of starting my own business. It's been on my mind ever since.

After high school, I thought I'd be into making software.

I even went to college for it. But man, after a while, I got tired of staring at lines of code. It just wasn't for me.

So, I dropped out. But you know how it is in a middle-class family, right? Dropping out is like a big no-no, it's like a crime.

Anyway, I fought through it and left college in 2018 to start my own online business.

I tried everything—selling stuff online, Facebook ads, affiliates, mining, you name it.

It was tough, but after 8 months of grinding, I got my first client.

They paid me $100, and that's when things started picking up.

From then till now, I've been helping out other businesses with their stuff.

I've tried a bunch of different services along the way, like generating leads, building online stores, and running Facebook ads.

But you know what? I found my groove with content writing and social media marketing.

There were a lot of times I felt like giving up, especially when things weren't going well, and people around me were doubting me.

But I kept going, and thank God, things got better.

Now, I've worked with over 20 clients, and I've even got a team of experts helping me out.

I feel blessed, man. And now, I've got this new vision.

I wanna see more kids out there starting their own businesses instead of just working for someone else.

I wanna share what I've learned over these 6 years with anyone who wants to give it a shot.

It's been a wild ride, but totally worth it.

Amazing story, glad I’m following you, I really like your content!

Keep on grinding!

I think we’ve passed the “Stay Humble” phase…..

I need to #asknostr

Where can I see the minimum channel size to be open with different nodes?

#Nostr be like:

Ok, my feed is mostly rendering of Bulls and Bitcoin.

Anybody has anything else to say today?
