Writing the Great American Bitcoin Novel 📚🧡✍️

Totally agree, I think the sat/dollar parity comes more as a symptom of the dollars inevitable hyperinflation.

It'll be cool to hold the $1000 bills, but I think the net value with be somewhere in the range of $20-50 of today's dollars.

I think there will be satoshi/dollar parity in my lifetime... but I'm also going to zap 1K sats to every single person who comments on this post.

Just because I see the value skyrocketing doesn't mean I'll hoard it, I still buy TVs even though the price will deflate over the next years. If my prediction is true, I think I'll reflect back with gratitude that I shot out sats to random plebs back in the early days of Nostr

I've really enjoyed it to, though I switch around between that and Amethyst.

I think its a good example of what the future of clients could be. Right now most clients are all attempt to do the exact same thing, eventually, a few will win this battle. But what we haven't seen much of (and the thing I'm most excited about) is when clients actually start trying to differentiate.

We could get different sorting, tabs, hashtag support, subreddits. All with the same set of underlined follows/followers. Nostergram is far ahead on this front IMO not just trying to be another Twitter, but specializing in images. I really hope other clients pop up and follow their lead.

Reddit moderators are a unique brand of power hungry communistic ass clowns.

I think there is tons of opportunity for a Nostr client to emulate Reddit's segmented community format.

I could still have my same follows, but then have specialized unsensorable conversations about all the weird shit I'm into.

Nearing five year lows in bitcoin circulating on exchanges. Who knows where the price goes, but it's an exciting trend 📉🧡

Congrats man, that's gotta feel great. I'm actively working on my brother, he's right on the edge, but still shitcoins and trades.

I've been slowly trying to give him info, but everyone has their own path to discovery. I'm just going to be as supportive as possible.

Really happy for you 🧡

No worries, thanks for it reply 🙂

Any idea if there are any challenges getting quantum encryption into a BIP though? Seems like that would be a massive undertaking.

(I have no idea WTF I'm taking about, super out of my depth here)

Join the party, me too 🥳 🙋‍♂️

Interesting. Do you think that "thing" could potentially be a fork of bitcoin that gives each private key an additional layer of entropy?

For example, to "find" my wallet with funds on it, I would essentially have to put in a great deal of computing power.

Idk if something like this is even possible.

I know how hard it can be Roya, I've been fighting a decade long struggle with an overwhelming urge to yell "That's what she said" at any opportunity.

The one thing that finally helped in my ongoing, crippling, addiction was this simple peice of advice:

“Whenever I’m about to do something, I think, ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do not do that thing.”

Not exactly sure how this relates. Are you proposing that we can just use multisigs when security becomes an issue?

I don't know how this would resolve the issue with Satoshi's wallet.

In a hypothetical distant future where private keys are getting closer for the strongest supercomputers to guess, are there any potential BIP opportunities that could increase the security of all private keys in the network? Including lost/old ones, like Satoshi's for example?

I know it's ridiculously unlikely to ever be a problem (I've personally done the math) but I'm just curious if something like this is possible if it becomes an issue 500 years into the future of bitcoin.

I spent some time working as a server in a restaurant, I've seen drugs just RUIN people.

Totally agree on those examples you gave, believe it or not, slinging coke out of the kitchen to minors and throwing down 6k calories per day of fried food and booze didn't lead to a thriving lifestyle.

Who woulda guessed 😂

I "grinded" on self improvement in my 20's which led me towards one the the most useful tools in that realm. Drugs.

I'm not encouraging everyone to go get high for kicks, but psychedelics are an incredible tool for self growth and personal development that continue to pay massive dividends today.

My wife just bought me this as a gift, I'm going to place it adjacent to the other religious texts in our home.
