The lies and deception the governments of USA and EU constantly push to their citizens at all levels is at all time high.
The effect over people that we believe are intelligent and intellectuals is quite notable.
Hearing podcasts of these people calling out other countries governments as authoritarian or dictatorships when I guarantee that they never have been in those countries, they are just repeating the lies and deceptions their government keep pushing to them. The irony, they live in a country where tyrants are in power and every day their freedoms are cut, like the frog in boiling water they compensate and believe all is fine, theybaee the ones in a dictatorship not realizing it.
In some of those countries they call tyrannical regimes with dictators, if you go visit you will find happy people, free to do as they please, #Bitcoin and other crypto is traded and mined tax free! The health system works and is free, paid by the state with the taxes so it is the education. Public transport and infrastructure are maintained and working great. So the government is not only is doing its job, but doing it well, I wish we have that level of efficiency.
Bottom line, no tyranny, state and private money are mixed but marginally, the same president for many years is not a reason to believe is a dictator, as in France, a president, if doing a good job, can be reelected multiple periods, which is efficient, if you run a company and the CEO is doing a good job you don't change him/her every 4 years just because that is better for democracy, it is not, it is better for corruption and the interests of the donors that want a different puppet in the chair working for them instead of the people.

Perhaps I am wrong, but I take the current situation with the high fees in the mempool as a good thing for few reasons:
1. More understanding that there are bad actors paid or with their own agendas that wants to hurt #Bitcoin
2. Realization that staying in Layer 1 is not an option running a business model that relays on #Bitcoin for retailing to the masses
3. Understanding that upgrading your business model to support LN⚡ is a must
4. More development is required to make the LN⚡more robust and the channels bigger, $300 to $400 won't cut it for B2B
5. New solutions are required in Layer 2, but they need to be decentralized or they will not take off. Competition is key for innovation, LN⚡is alone eating all the cake and therefore with little pressure to push forward, Michael Saylor is doing the ecosystem a service protecting his massive investment, in my opinion, he gets it and works on what is most required

First of all, if you are not Ugandan, what their lawmakers do with their countries is their responsibility and problem, their citizens need to deal with it for good or bad as any other country should do.... Independently if we like it or not.
The attitude of USA thinking they can rule the world is just sad, but the worst part is that they do it ,as any other bully, only to the small countries , Why they don't do the same to #Qatar or #SaudiArabia? Is LGBT+ legal in those What about Egypt or Morocco?
