In a nutshell the means of receiving and sending is more privacy centric with Monero
The Bitcoin ledger allows tracing addresses through transactions back to their original issuance. This helps perform verification at the cost of privacy on that backward history as entities can log what they know about sender/receiver.
Monero uses a ring signature format which helps make those transactions more confidential for spends. Think of a group where anyone can sign but you cant ascertain who in the group actually signed. The amounts are also hidden and for receiving stealth addresses are used.
For Bitcoin to achieve some pseudo-privacy requires various forms of obfuscation. Commonly mixing and coinjoins, stonewalls, send to exchange/federation/hub and withdraw (that central trust point can in some cases correlate depending on time in and amounts), swap to other coin(s) and back
Ive been told that some venues dont accept BTC but do accept XMR. Not everyone has this personal use case but for those that do its good that they have a way to acquire BTC

Last cycle I hadn't fully understood this. I spent the time to vote for write in candidates named "Satoshi Nakamoto". Now I realize that voting is just a form of legitimizing slavery under the guise of actionable choice.
As an adult I learned more and more how corrupt governments are. As parents, we have a duty to ensure youth recognizes this quicker and equip them with the tools and knowledge to defend against it. We are at war whether we accept it or not. Get your head out of the sand.

Before I get called a shitcoiner, I have never bought or owned Monero. I prefer bitcoin and I think we only need 1 cryptocurrency. Having multiple cryptos with different use cases always seems really dumb to me. If we can bring all features from alt coin land and bring them to bitcoin. It will only help end shitcoinery and increase bitcoin dominance in the long term.
