If you run your own node (using Umbrel) you can run your own relay which is pretty cool. Unsure of any speed or efficiency benefits, but it’s cool to see your own posting data on your own relay.

I run my own Umbrel node, but lack the knowledge of how to open Lightning channels. You guys have any handy resources for that?
I just started reading When Money Dies and I gotta admit, not a very fun read.
