I hope to never have to cut a tree larger than this one. It was one of my favorite trees on the property, but sadly was dying over the past few years. It stood as the tallest tree at the highest point on the property.

The Humboldt had to be divided into 5 pieces just to complete the cut with a 20 inch bar.

I told my seven-year-old daughter what the process was like for putting an addition on the house. I said first I have to get plans and then I have to show them to the government and ask them permission.
