For the midwits near the center of the bell (The 68%™):
If you can't spend Bitcoin, you can't spend anything.
If you *can* spend *something* you can also spend Bitcoin.
It's a matter of basic accounting. I've never seen any circular economy enthusiasts or medium-of-exchange believers advocate for your overall stack to ever go down in a given week. You should always make more money than you spend, no matter what you consider money. That's the only way you can afford a future.
The solution to the old "chicken and egg" problem is to become the chicken and get to layin'!
I actually haven't manually re-balanced a channel in 3 years accept for the initial balance when organizing a Ring of Fire. Instead I just adjust the fee structure to encourage channel balance over time:
Higher Remote Balance -> Raise channel fees
Higher Local Balance -> Lower channel fees
When I was manually re-balancing I also never got the Thunderhub balance feature to work for me, but I did find that Balance of Satoshis was able to do the trick, and yes, it is a pain-in-the-ass command line solution. But it does work, which is a plus.

It's available in the Start9 Community Registry and includes instructions within the service on how to use it. But if you can get away with the fee-adjustment strategy instead, in my experience it's far more efficient. And free!
except* lol dammit 🙃
As Adam Curry sometimes says... " It's a miracle that any of this stuff works..." or something like that. nostr:nprofile1qqszxgvrzkpasudhvdjx3anl77qxse5wd6eunndmyv9x63uwnpn09mgpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qyghwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tcpzfmhxue69uhkummnw3e82efwvdhk6tcgt4a3x is a wizzard at rebalancing channels but I think he does it from the command line.

I also notice in my profile that nostr tags aren't rendering. I had them previously without the nostr: prefix. One of your updates caused them to stop being rendered so I added in the nostr: prefix, but now they are again just plain text. Should I pull the nostr: back out when tagging other users in my profile?
Another month, another page for the nostr:npub19ha7tju4teqp3dmwv4p28wrcy9zd6h6hxkg5mwvjrlfycweazpkse2q0fa calendar!

Hmmm nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr I dunno about these latest #noStrudel changes, at least on mobile the profiles no longer show any quick info. The old layout was far more useful.

I also am not seeing quoted notes anymore, just the raw nevent string

The only reason there should be less Bitcoin talk is to make space for more Bitcoin action.
Here's a python engine:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomacy_(game)
It's a fantastic strategy game based on trust and betrayal, was a favorite of JFK and family. It's rumored (likely myth/legend) that when JFK first heard news of the Cuban missile crisis he started a round of diplomacy with some cabinet members to help him think thru the next steps.
There are a few sites online that allow you to play, but over nostr could be pretty cool. cc nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr
Im kinda all over the place today but someday I'd be down!
I would be even more jazzed by a round of Diplomacy over Nostr...ever play Diplomacy?
There was a chess tourney at our last Bitcoin Block Party and nostr:npub16ux4qzg4qjue95vr3q327fzata4n594c9kgh4jmeyn80v8k54nhqg6lra7 won...so I bet #chesstr would take off honestly
