Something has happened to US film production over recent years. It's hard to put your finger on it. Superficially, the production values seem just as high. The actors are mostly the same people. But there's something in the story-telling that makes it hard to suspend disbelief. So often it's like being told, "& then this happened, and they went there, and he punched him, and she cried, and a bird sang, and it started raining" Almost as if a real human wasn't involved. It's weird. Soulless #Film
