Whenever I travel to the USA I always have to readjust myself. Prices on signs are incorrect (don’t include local tax and VAT) and dinner is always more expensive because of the mandatory tipping.

Can anyone explain to me what these two almost identical settings in the #apple #ios18 camera app do? How do they differ? Why would I use one or the other??
I have nothing but love for the effort and engendering that goes into a project like @joinpeertube.org.web.brid.gy
But couldn’t is be replaced by a website that just hosts a collection of webtorrents?
What am I missing?

What if there was a Nostr client that let you, the user, specify your own algo based on a few simple metrics??
And just try out these algos in a separate tab?
And maybe if the algo is really good to your taste, you can share it with others (maybe in the form of a regex or SQL code or whatever works) ??
Comparing my current phone (14 pro max) against a phone two generations ahead... nothing is really enticing me to upgrade. Summarized notifications using apple intelligence is nice, but not worth $1500

I upgrade my iPhone every couple of years. Usually around the time the battery needs replacing 😂

Let a new npub prove it’s “worth” by making block lists public (they already are via a NIP that I forgot the number of).
That way, if I see a large % overlap between who a new user and an existing user are blocking, I can now assume you are more trustworthy.
