You probably don't need your phone to beep or buzz on notifications. Nothing is that urgent.

You probably don't need any push notifications at all. Emails, DMs, etc can be checked manually at single period of time you set aside.

Sounds too extreme? Give it a try and see how your life is afected. You won't really miss anything and will be less phone dependent. Don't let your phone control you like a dog.

The only thing I keep active is calls, and even then, only on vibrate to not risk waking up the baby. Yes, I miss some calls sometimes and it's not a big deal, I just call people back.

Did similar long ago and was very good for mental health. Is very Pavlovian to have ringer/vibrate on for everything.

I code on several computers.

When my boss calls for me to come in for a 1:1 it’s so nice to just grab my laptop. That + Tailscale my entire dev folder with all my git repos are caught up as soon as I boot it up.

I have yet to try Tailscale. Use Wireguard currently.

Have you ever had sync go wtong and losing like the last few changes because of things getting in some variant of a conflict?

I have not but use one as the golden one where others sync from.

Use to only use it for mobile to home server sync. But with Relayable tried it to keep site and configs across the relays in sync and works great. My first production use of it.

Well, if you upgrade that a little bit, you'd be essentially a react developer. You're probably in my boat. I know enough to do basic stuff that you mentioned and get by there, but not enough to do anything overly useful. We need to upgrade our skills and build on what we already know.

Seen a lot more black-box services which are usually the first sign that funding is not there. So people start down path of traditional revenue streams.
