Men are often seen as simple, but their character is anything but. I’ve known men who carry their pain so well, you’d never even guess they were hurting. I’ve seen men go to the ends of the earth for the people they love. I’ve watched a man who life treated unfairly, even though all he ever gave was kindness. I’ve seen a man hold the heaviest kind of sorrow in his heart and still get up every day like it’s nothing.

I’ve seen a man quietly aching for love, like it was the only thing that could save him. Sometimes the biggest smile on a man’s face hides the deepest kind of pain. Someone once asked me what men really want in life. I said, “Something simple. Peace. A life they can look back on without regret.”
