As a photographer, I'd love something like https://glass.photo/ which is nearly perfect if you ask me (but not built on nostr though). I like being able to see just photos in my timeline, tap on them for detail, and search/view photos by category.

Exactly. But personally I'd start with 0.0.1 rather than 0.0.0 which just sounds like it's nothing. 🤷

These are always fun to see, and they’re so tiny — they only grow up to 28mm long, a little over an inch.

Cooper’s Hawk, April 2023. One of the first shots I got after buying a camera. I had been second-guessing my purchase and thinking maybe my iPhone was just as good as a “real” camera. Smartphones have really great cameras, but it’s hard for them to match a long lens that can zoom like this.

I’ve been pretty into photography for the past year or so, though I’ve been taking pictures since I was a kid. I’ve gotten more serious about it lately; I bought a nice camera and a couple good lenses and have enjoyed taking photos of my kids at sporting events as well as birds, insects, flowers, and other wildlife and nature. It’s always a challenge to get good shots, but I’m enjoying it.

Here’s one of my all-time favorites — a female cardinal I captured back in February.

Yeah, but getting people to change their behavior is really hard. I totally get why they’re trying all these things; nobody wants to give kids an extra hour of recess. Well, I do, but nobody else does.

Lantana. I was sad to learn that this is an invasive species (outside of the American tropics, where they’re native) since they’re so colorful and so beautiful.

The main thing I do on my iPad now that I wouldn’t be able to on Daylight is photo editing. Not sure there’s any way to make that work on a monochrome display. Unless the photos are black and white…?
