It's because others' success makes you look in the mirror and feel worse about your own accomplishment by comparison.

One person's success DOES NOT decrease your ability to have success. Leave that scarcity mindset and enter the world of abundance.

I think it’s because young adults have access to see all these different people online and they build imaginary and unrealistic expectations.

In the past people settled to average beauty standards they see in their communities.

Now they see unrealistic above average beauty and relationships online and think that’s what they should also be getting.

Algos are not bad by nature. Many people want algorithms, but we want two important aspects with them. We want transparency and we want choice. Algorithm stores built into clients with reviews, links to open source code repos, the ability to pay devs or users for creating them, and the ability to make choices and easily swap them in and out sounds like a recipe for success.
