The real answer to the question of why the government does not simply print all the money it needs is that by putting the money into circulation and then subsequently reclaiming it through taxation they maintain a floor in demand for the currency
All they're doing is impoverishing dollar holders and dollar wage earners, not enriching bitcoin holders. I don't see that as a cause for celebration. It is like witnessing a war and coming out personally unscathed, being relatively better off compared to the injured and killed, when before the war there were no casualties.
You are not any better off from money printing. They are just worse off. You are committing a logical fallacy, and it's an insulting one. The only good aspect about this is that, perhaps, with insane inflation, people will lose their faith in the dollar sooner than they already would have.

I guess I always sort of assumed that the lizards "in charge" were sort of devious and evil.
