I’ve been thinking about things like “zap this post to access” where web pages have corresponding nostr posts so clients (and browser extensions) can use the zap totals for filtering
playing with a lot of things like this in our APIs

it’s still so early. soon there will be custom relays that keep a history of all of your events and re-blast them to other relays as needed. doesn’t matter if lots of users use the same ones if you can easily point at another one and things mostly just work. nostr is simple and stuff like this is relatively easy.

since setting zero fees on my channels things mostly just take care of themselves
I still think large public bitcoin miners should rig their ASICs to be able to remotely self destruct via on-chain signal via custom firmware. Completely eliminate the risk of state sponsored confiscations.
basically these media rooms become censorship resistant nostr powered broadcast studios. media relays know where stream locations are so they can fetch and cache chunks of the HLS streams to rebroadcast to others.
btw: we’re working on completely mirroring Vida rooms over nostr as Nostr public chat rooms (nip-28). the stream location will be embedded as meta data on the room. i’m also working on a simplified open source media server that’s designed to be run along side a nostr relay so others can host rooms and there’s no platform lock-in.

Yep! for sure. working on what we call “ticketed events”.
We also support free streams with zaps (pay what you want) now as well.
