I think the biggest correction is simply in understanding it as a life investment, not a financial asset.

Own a house that you want for you or your family, but if you don’t need it for it’s utility, you’re just trading bitcoin for something way less scarce that rots.

For context, as apparently it needs to be spelled out for some, this same meal would have cost us probably $70-ish before everything got more expensive the last couple years. I was well aware how much I’d be paying for what we ordered, but that’s not the point. The point is that this kind of thing represents the larger problem of how expensive everything is nowadays. Has your pay increased by 40-50% in the past couple years? If not, then you’re feeling what I’m pointing out here.
