Call it “Mal” because you “can’t stop the signal”
For fun? Lol
I am not one of those that thinks there should only be one implementation. I think more implementations means Bitcoin is even harder to change, and thus even more decentralized
An idea: a new Bitcoin implementation using an a completely new wire protocol and serialization format.
It could use well defined industry standards such as protocol buffers for serialization and WebSockets for transport. This would allow for new implementations to be created with ease, increasing network decentralization.
Bridges could be implemented to keep both parts of the network in sync until it wasn’t needed anymore.
It’s incredible the amount of stuff happening around Ordinals. I don’t have to love JPEGs but there sure is a lot of development happening
Linux
And thanks, no rush and no pressure. I appreciate you even thinking about it
I suppose it would depend on how many people would be calling the nodes API, but 2-4 cores and 8gb RM is probably enough for a plebnet node with multiple users with small projects
Yeah, the envisioned service doesn’t require a strong trust model since it doesn’t make use of any private data.
It would check for new blocks every few minutes and scan each block one time, plus a few calls to check block chain metadata, so about as much bandwidth as Bitcoin uses in new block storage per month. Very low overall
Working on a public-facing site that needs json RPC access. I don’t have a fiat tree growing in my yard, so I need options for node access. Running a full node on a VPS is very hefty when it comes to storage. It would probably cost 80-100 cuckbucks per month, unless there is an ultra low cost storage VPS provider out there somewhere.
Is the best option connecting to my home node? Or is there a low cost option out there for RPC access?
Has anyone seen the .sats addresses that inscribers are making? Are those useful for anything? It doesn’t seem to carry any data or have a transport mechanism for records or anything
What does this asshole think he’s doing?

It has gone to ground as it prepares to execute “Phase 2”

Hopefully it’s not just another chrome reskin. I am becoming increasingly convinced that the WWW is too captured and the way forward is not the web.
This is the cope I am going with, as well.
I am putting up 21 million dollars against 21 billion bitcoin that bitcoin will be 1 million dollars in 90 days. Any takers?
Branch frequently. Branch all the things #git
(I don’t think this, I just can’t pass up a pun)
