Thank you for the question. I’m a big fan of Strike and Jack’s work. I don’t see StashPay as a competitor to custodial exchanges.
StashPay is a low-fee, low friction way to receive bitcoin to your self-custody wallet. Fully peer-to-peer. More on why I’m building it in this post: https://blog.onionmill.com/p/introducing-stashpay-a-bitcoin-wallet
Thank you! Great reply!! I will dig in to that blog post.
Thanks for the bug reports yesterday 🙏🏼🧡
Build (9) is now on TestFlight. Download here: https://stashpay.me
Release notes:
* Fix: wallet-log.txt error message on first start
What’s the unique value of StashPay? What are you hoping to provide that Strike doesn’t, for example?
Ha! Just shared a note I want to come back to to “Notes to Myself” in Signal. Worked flawlessly.
Trying out nos.social. Appreciated Rabble’s recent presentation and his interview on Plebchain Radio.
I’m really liking the new Damus client!
I’m curious why you would use SMS 2FA at all? Email or preferably Authenticator app is superior… even better, Yubikey, although not as widely accepted.
When I lived in Latin America I transitioned everything to email or app.
There is a certain kind of reasoning that is seemingly reasonable and yet entirely insufficient: we may most accurately call it madness. As Chesterton said, “The madman…has lost everything but his reason.”
Imagine, if you will, a person who demands to define himself: he is the god of his system and all will acknowledge his sovereign self.
To him we might say, with Chesterton, “So you are the Creator and Redeemer of the world: but what a small world it must be! What a little heaven you must inhabit…! How sad it must be to be God; and an inadequate God! Is there really no life fuller and no love more marvelous than yours; … How much happier you would be…if the hammer of a higher God could smash your small cosmos…free like other men to look up as well as down!”
This is the culture we reside within; we are demanded to submit to the whim of every discontented individual who seeks to see his malaise called health and his evil called good. It is not loving nor righteous to cooperate with the demands of a tyrant whether petty or governmental.
A stiff dose of Aristotle would do our society a lot of good.
One does not grow past common sense: one simply grows to comprehend its validity more intricately.
Personally, I would avoid Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator; they both work fine, but it's just too delicate of information to put within reach of their tentacles. I like Authy, Yubikey, and Aegis.
my best results are currently with Brave and Start Page. Also liking Leta. Can't figure out if Swisscows is trustworthy or not. DuckDuckGo works well, but getting interestingly filtered results compared to others.
I'm not familiar with Authorized. Have you had good experience?
Venice.ai for the win, by the way. Super pumped about this tool.
Exploring with my wife. Good memories.
