What's the nicest course within a 100 mile radius of you? 
USE THE 8 IRON
One of the best ways to add strokes to your scorecard is by using a wedge around the greens
Especially for new golfers or people who don't golf much
Chipping with a 52 56 or 60 degree wedge requires a ton of precision
Instead, try using your 7 or 8 iron from around the green and just hit it like a putt
An 8 iron is much more forgiving and carries more weight, making it easier for the clubhead to slide through the grass
General rule of thumb:
If you can, putt it
If you have to chip, use an 8 iron
And in the rare case of having to elevate the ball quickly, then use a wedge

BETTER BUNKERS ⛱️
Greenside bunkers are challenging.
But trying to gauge a long bunker shot or fairway bunker is almost impossible for most amateurs.
The first rule is to just get it out of the bunker.
Don't get greedy or try to get too cute.
But here's the best tip we've found through years of experimenting:
The shorter the shot (greenside), the more sand you take before the ball
*always take a full swing, but adjust the amount of sand you're taking before the ball.
The longer the shot (fairway), the less sand you take before the ball
*you're basically picking it clean from longer approach shots
This tip comes in handy when you have the highly difficult 30-50 yard bunker shots.
For best results: practice this technique before taking it to the course.

It’s officially spring here in the prairies.
Starting to feel like summer.
Most courses in the area are open. The home course opens this weekend!
Here’s a few updates to share:
1. BITCOIN GOLF TOUR - officially underway.
Two of us have bought 1M sats each. We plan to golf four rounds each summer using these sats. And we will do it until we run out of sats - or we die of old age - whatever comes first.
We will be competing in a 72-hole stroke play match over the course of the summer. The winner will get the Orange Jacket and 100k sats!
Season 1 will filmed this summer and shared on our YouTube channel.

DO NOT CHEAT
The remainder of these 21 lessons will not be in any particular order, but this one has to be first.
It is the most important one.
You could do a million things right over the course of your life. But if you cheated in golf, and someone else noticed, that’s what they will remember about you forever.
Golf is a gentleman’s game.
It’s okay to move it away from a tree when you’re out for a fun round and don’t want to break your club.
But if you’re playing a competitive round, you should never cheat. Under any circumstances.
There is nothing to gain by cheating. People won’t remember your score on the hole or at the end of a round. They’re too focused on their own game and their own score.
But they WILL remember when you miscounted on a hole, or dropped a ball out of your pocket and pretended it was yours.
Nothing to gain.
Everything to lose.
Your reputation is all you have.
