Greetings everyone. My name is Tony Lamont and I'm a American small business owner. I am a hard-working American just like all of you, have paid taxes all my working adult life, and feel we as Americans deserve a little more especially with all the economic and political hardship we face currently. With inflation rates at their highest in decades and wages not keeping pace with the cost of living, many working Americans are struggling to make ends meet. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, real average hourly earnings decreased by 2.8% from August 2021 to August 2022.
We need legislation that provides tangible support for working American citizens to help stabilize and enhance social safety nets for all qualified working American citizens. It’s time for our government to prioritize the needs of its hardworking citizens who contribute so much to this country.
