We opened my son’s backpack and found this awesome (for him as art isn’t his strong suit) “I am thankful” turkey from art. We told him how great it was (it’s a Marine turkey as he’s thankful for his Marine uncle protecting us)… Instead of being proud he was on the verge of nervous tears telling us how he had to put it immediately away and never draw a gun in school again… common sense is dead.

That was my exact thought when we recently moved, the whole act of putting “stuff” into and out of boxes, so much we didn’t need and how much more bitcoin I could have had if I had woken up a bit sooner… oh well, at least we’re awake now though!

Hmm, as a responsible parent I took the Halloween candy and put it out of reach so no sneaky children will eat too much garbage… however, I find myself being the one sneakingly eating the garbage…

My dad is an electrician and I’m trying to orange pill him. Any ideas from an electrical standpoint that might help me tip the scales?

That’s a tough one indeed. Depending on the day I find myself either wanting to completely shield them from clown world so they can enjoy their innocence as long as possible, or put my spartan face on and prepare them for a lifelong battle. One thing I do like to do is get as many well researched/thoughtful ideas as possible to help in my parenting journey. … turning a small one car attached garage into a livable space should be easy… but wait, I need perc test and a new septic drawing even though I’m not adding any bathrooms? “Yep” … thousands later I hand those in, “oh we don’t actually know where your left side neighbor’s well is, so we can’t sign off on the new septic drawing” … hours of wasted labor later with my neighbor being kind enough for me to dig up their yard to find the well cap … “oh thanks for finding that for us so we can document, but we just realized we actually needed to know where the right side neighbor’s well was” … happy FFFFFFFFFriday!

Now it’s time for battle star galactica, one of the best sci-fi series in my opinion. Also it’s kind of nostr’ie in that it was only supposed to be a one off mini movie, but the fans loved it so much they continued it and made it into a series. I would have zapped the heck out of it.

Ha! That was one of the worst things living in Germany for a few years. It was always worse though in the warmer months having a both a beard and skin that tans, I stopped counting the amount of times I was “randomly selected” for extra checks with or without my (fairer looking) family and kids with me.
