Sometimes you get the "you shouldn't do that because people already know how to do that" argument, to which the answer is "Which people? And do any of them work here and are they volunteering to do this?"

It's the opposite of the more usual "you shouldn't do that because people don't know how to do that" argument, by which logic nobody would ever do anything new.

Occasionally you get both from the same person, which means they don't want to do anything
