No need to beat around the bush.

Bitcoin is the best hedge against debasement.

Bond volatility (MOVE index) now higher than during the covid market crash.

broke -> deflationary crash, dollar spikes

soak -> inflationary melt-up, dollar falls

smoke -> financial repression, negative real yields forever laura

croak -> dollar dies, resurgence of sound money

Rainbows End is still one of my favorite Sci-Fi books ever. Great predictions made in it, written in 2006 about the year 2025.

Signature Bank getting shut down is this generation's "Building 7".

Treasury and Fed seem to care more about naive depositors with over $250,000 in a bank that had no Chief Risk Officer and failed to hedge any of its securities than they do about stopping inflation to help the guy with $250 in his bank account.

“Capitalism was the only system in history where wealth was not acquired by looting, but by production, not by force, but by trade, the only system that stood for man's right to his own mind, to his work, to his life, to his happiness, to himself.”

― Ayn Rand, Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal

'Fiat paper money creates moral hazard on the side of the money users — the citizens, the banks, and the governments — because they sooner or later come to realize that the masters of the printing press have the power to bail out virtually any bankrupt firm or government. Thus they engage in more or less reckless financial planning, expecting that the monetary authorities will not allow a great mass of reckless planners to go bankrupt. This speculation has been borne out by the last 30 years Public and private debts are at record heights all over the world.'

@Smaugbtc - if you want to learn what it's like to use the OS, I recommend first doing everything in a Linux Virtual Machine, e.g. using VirtualBox software on a Windows/Mac system.

Hit me up if you have questions. I can also tutor people on Linux.

About the same as all the others really. Here's a guide for doing it on a PC: https://itsfoss.com/install-debian-easily/

For installing on a Raspberry Pi (3/4) you can use this guide: https://raspberrytips.com/install-debian-on-raspberry-pi/
