Like it's just insane how much rice is in a single handful of stalks. I'll probably be able to harvest 365 cups of dry rice in an hour or two... Enough to get full on rice every day. And you don't have to flood it, we have been tricked into thinking you need a rice paddy.
Gonna grow a bunch of rice this summer. Pretty crazy multiplication rate on rice. Like one seed will like send up 15 or so grain heads and each grain head can have like 200 grains. I'm beginning to think there is some kinda propaganda campaign that's been going on trying to convince it is hard to grow most of your own food for very little work and time. Why don't they have rice seeds for sale in seed racks at stores?!?!?

Then rinsed 3 times in sterile distilled water. I think the main thing helping tho probably is I used a product called PPM (plant preservative mixture) from plantcelltechnology.com in the Agar.
No mold in any of the new cell culture cups yet this round. Yeehaw, gonna go pick me some apple tree branches and bamboo today methinks for next batch.
