Plebstr messes with relays, but it also caches your follows for a while, so I guess I’m going back to this. Lesser of two evils.

Already tried, it didn’t have any snapshots of my keypair. You might have to login with it before it starts making them, or maybe it just doesn’t work anymore, Idk.

I mostly use Damus, but it got erased this time when I tried to use Iris on web for my computer.

It seems like basically any time you use multiple clients, either your follows or relays are going to get screwed up because one of the devs didn’t know what they were doing.

I just copied bot’s follow list, that should be close enough to what I had.

I think I’m going to set up another Nostr keypair with a backup of all my follows.

Alex was pro Nostr months before he got paid. There is nothing in Nostr that is unfixable, it just hasn’t been fixed.

You just have to accept that you’re using something unstable if you choose to use it.

I think things like this will be fixed, there’s just no security with how it’s being handled right now.

I have no idea. It doesn’t really address a lot of the problems, like your entire follow list just randomly getting overwritten with a blank one if you login to a new client.

Using Nostr you learn to just expect that everything will be shit all the time.

gleasonator.dev is the alpha version but it doesn’t work well at all yet.

Are you following what nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6 is doing? The clients it supports aren’t natively built for Nostr, and a lot of them are web clients, so you can easily just self host. There’s not much chance of anything ubiquitous happening client-side if you can just view everything from the Mastodon’s app, whose devs have probably never even heard of Nostr.

I think it’s also automating which relays your posts get sent to, so that shouldn’t be a huge issue.

I would still use it because no one can ban my account, and I am universally hated for being too real, so I need that protection.
