party less, get your head kicked in more

contemplating my 20s and why everyone’s sick

if you never face real difficulty, your life will get complicated later. there is no escaping it

we did not evolve for a never-ending good time 😷

the role of AI is to help you keep balance in this information overload. It’s not ideal to have a machine decide what’s better for you, but it's a tradeoff between something worse - getting lost alone and getting nowhere. we’ve reached the limits of what default human wetware can handle, and it’s not enough to keep up with the present

the world as it’s built is not ready to answer all the “why?” questions millennials and younger now ask

there was never a need to understand this much because you’d never use your knowledge

it’s still not clear how to use all that you learn from asking “why?” but it’s evident that others figure it out

there is no step-by-step if you ask too many questions. you’ll be over your head and no one will help

Will Bitcoin make all war prohibitively expensive? Maybe in the year 3000 or something. I would not hold your breath in this lifetime. It’s a win if it happens at all at some point in the future. But you won’t know if it did

cynicism, nihilism, and fiat collapse are all unstoppable trains that’ll fuel war we can yet imagine. On the other side of it all is the world the lazy dream of today

IMO, ww3 won’t happen because it’s too expected. But all other cracks that don’t annihilate the human species will get exploited by ambitious psychos

people who want perpetual peacetime have no ambition

all great nations are terrorists in their own way

never have I heard someone who defaults to “money is not everything” think out loud how to make more money.

for at least half the world's population, money is everything because they are objectively poor

for almost everyone else, it’s also life-changing, but rich societies enable laziness

most people dream about not having to think about money, but there is no easy path to get there. Best to get in the habit of thinking about nothing else, with intensity for a few years

do the work you don’t want to do

it sucks, especially if you are creative. but it’s the neurons that you need to grow in your head

Mail sent to the alias kept getting dropped for me. No allow-list changes made a difference
