By doing so, I am nudging people into my way of thinking under the guise of keeping them safe and making their experience better. Even though people are free to make these decisions for themselves, I know damn well that most people will never go and verify whether or not you should be on my list, or if what I have claimed about you is even true.

I also know that if I have hundreds or thousands of people on this list, virtually no one will spend the time checking. I will also associate you with well known trouble makers so that it adds credibility to my list, and by the time you figure out what I have been doing, the damage will have already been done."

This isn't a helpful tool. This is how all traditional social media looks nowadays and what I presume most people here have been trying to get away from.

So . . . I gave up trying to figure out what I screwed up on my #proxmox install and just reinstalled the whole thing. it didn't take long and was rather painless since I haven't done anything with it yet, and I didn't muck with the network management suggestions that auto-populated. And then . . .

Success! It's getting close to bedtime, so I am going to call it a night here. I am rather excited, though! One step closer to data sovereignty!

Get her to use a VPN and probably Relai. Everyone should be using a VPN for nearly everything.

This is happening because your VPN provider only has a virtual server in your state. Very common for providers to do that if the state has the legal power to just seize and search physical severs. Or legally requires server operators to install spyware, logging software,etc. It's how they give their (limited) guarantee of privacy but still offer a gateway that will at least fool a streaming service for instance.

Switzerland has the world best privacy laws, so VPN providers based there are your first step to a reasonably private VPN.

I wonder if the state VPN is throttling users.

Don’t you ever get the feeling that so many around you lack common sense? It seems to me that those who are still under the rat race simulation just don’t see the obvious. It shows how effective their enslaving propaganda has been on the masses. Which also tells me that these so called untouchables are well organized and have been working towards their goal of ruling over the rest of us with utmost dedication and discipline for a very long time.
