we call it a block subsidy for this reason imo. not that ordinals is 'great for Bitcoin' or 'fixes' anything, but it reintroduced the idea of an on-chain Bitcoin denominated market, and how important that is for bitcoins future.
do it! family road trips are the best.
took my family cross country from Texas to Alaska and back. me, wifey, 4yo, 2 pits and a cat. did KOA campgrounds as much as possible. saw grand tetons, Yellowstone, Banff, and every dinosaur museum we could find on the way. 2 mo's of open ended Socratic dialog between us and our kids, am sure that's why he's so smart today! wouldn't trade that experience for the world.
when we rolled up into girdwood, ak, they were having summer solstice party. a bunch of artists selling their wares out of vintage westfalias and partying 24/7. and bears! amazing.
also owned a 79 vanagon long ago I'd drive btw TX and Cali and it was a blast, so I'm a bit biased.
I'm pissed bc it was long overdue, and obvious. and I didn't feel confident this current admin will do it with care.
tea party, occupy wall st, and Bitcoin were all born during the same crisis, and yet Obama did nothing but try to stabilize a rotten system...
maybe the tech wasn't there yet. certainly the political courage wasn't. but in the 16+ years since the gfc, in not aware of a single attempt to add monetary reform as a plank position.
thanks, you stupid, feckless cowards.
dramatic reduction in USD flowing abroad thru USAID.
dramatic reduction in trade deficits thru tariffs.
exacerbating China's already noticable reduction in UST purchases.
trading income tax for tariff tax.
surrounded by PayPal Mafia.
courting XRP and tether crowd.
setting up his own branded exchange.
eliminating the penny and next the nickel.
drawing all USD into the US.
Treasury buyers on the inside track.
went out of his way to announce No CBDC long before anyone asked for such a commitment.
Ch24 of Project 2025...

Had the ATT tech here to install fiber internet. Was very excited!! But he needs access to neighbor's backyard.
They're RVing and I have no idea when they'll be back π
Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land (1959)
excellent cartoon.
At the 17m mark they give a pool/billards lesson I've never seen before called 'the diamond system'. π±π
I asked Venice.AI how many homes I'd need to collect food waste from to convert into enough biogas to run a 1200w Bitcoin miner 24/7. it said 60 homes. probably a very rough guess, but it's a start.
as the real product would be liquid fertilizer to sell, that seems doable. add just a few solar panels, feed the excess asic heat into the anaerobic digester to accelerate ch4 production, and you're on your way to a fully off grid methane mitigating fertilizer business.

He should have stopped at the first line.
GM #nostr π
Go out there and earn those merit badges today!

A while back I said something stupid about nostr.
I liked the idea but I doubted the plebs.
I was dumb. I'll do better. βοΈ
Love the idea but seems so different, kinda scary for whatever reason. Just got over completely screwing up and wiping a Manjaro install bc of me not understanding midi and nuking all audioπ

Unfortunately the artist passed away Sunday, a day before the EO
If you're pissed at this administration but you're still just using your bank/visa card, socking away in your house or 401k, and posting your anger on corporate social media for likes, you're resisting exactly how they want you to.
Spend in cash, save in Bitcoin, ghost your profile.
Starve the beast.
I like pennies. Here's the prettiest penny in American History.
The Vermont Copper

Pennies aren't the problem.
The money printer is the problem, and it's gone digital.

I switched out my tallow for microplastics and now my balls are swol af πͺ
Once I went up in front of a promotion board while in the army. I was third in line.
First question was from my First Sergeant. He asked if I knew UCMJ yada dot yada yada... I didn't.
It's a reg that says any promotion candidate who's a minority will have at least one minority on the board.
I didn't know why he asked that then realized they were all black and I'm white. He immediately called an intermission, found a white NCO, them we started again. I did well and was promoted.
I don't think anything would have been different if he didn't call break. They were all professionals. It did give me an appreciation for the army they came up in however.
Dignity isn't zero-sum. Accepting others doesn't cost you anything. We can grow the pie. βοΈ
I've believed for a long time the executive branch is our biggest threat to liberty.
Each president assumes the powers of not just the Constitution, but of his predecessor, and of course whatever he needs to pass the 'mandate of the people', and let's not forget the unexpected crisis, then 4 years later, another comes along... Wash, repeat.
But our original articles of confederation had no executive. Neither did the Roman Republic we partially modeled after. What if the executive branch itself required a 20 year charter directly from the people? Keep the 4y term limit on the office but w the understanding the office itself, and all EO's and departments under it, would have to be able to fold without disruption unless WE agree on another nonpartisan charter.
