Diagnosis is apparently "infective endocarditis" -an infection attacking and killing my heart lining which then sends wreckage round my blood system like a gory version of Kessler syndrome. Bodies are awful.

I am on meds and, here in hospital, in the right place.

So four days ago I suffered a series of minor cardiac incidents. "Heart attack" seems a bit grand. I am still in hospital, and my phone is full of well wishes.

So we just watched 28 Years Later. I'm not sure what I expected, but that was not it. That was three student films poorly welded together with five minutes tacked on the end showing where the films budget went - on LSD presumably.

I am watching Pamela Anderson scat on stage. Its quite the thing.

The Eye is my favourite character in Alien: Earth.Theres definitely something about silence, staring and the occasional trolling headbutt. While most creatures of the Alien universe feel like instinct-driven animals, The Eye has a level of overt sapience which makes its behaviour super creepy.

Two episodes into Alien: Earth, and I am already shrieking 'No! Do not look at it! Protect your orifices!' at the telly. And I am constructing a shared universe between Alien and Santa Clarita Diet (I see you, Mr Ball Legs)

I have watched episode 1. I am genuinely hypnotised by how awful it is. Good actors are made wooden by dialogue worthy of a soap. No - a telenovela.

I have, previously, expressed my incredulity at Skys " The Rig" getting a 2nd season. I now discover Alice Krige of all people has joined it Other actors do not benefit by comparison.
