Not too dissimilar to V, it is through the crucible of understanding that society is not, or is no longer, on my side that caused a specific change in my character. It is difficult to do so while maintaining existing relationships, especially when your own family does not change to nearly the extent or at least at the pace as you yourself change. We all have our cross to bare, but in the medium to long term I pray that the volatility in my life and indeed Bitcoin too will decrease as I journey on this new path of sovereignty.
To be frank the thing that drove me to all this was panic and fear for my specific situation in COVID, which they would not have had. I am a single income household on a modest salary considering I have a family of 7. Canada was making new rules all the time and if I lost my job, I would have only got 1 benefit payout to support 7 people, which would have been completely unsustainable. That pushed me over.
That said I would like to think that I would have listened if someone had truly tried to tell me about Bitcoin, but it's hard to know if I would have. Once I dug it took 2-3 years to know about markets and Bitcoin which was part of the process of necessarily understanding "money"
For maximum gains, I would still trade a bit at the most obvious times. The thing that then made me go 100% all in was conviction and morality/ethics, which required more of a departure from greed more so than courage.
Courage is somewhat of an abstract concept, but if courage has a lot more to to with stern alignment of your actions based on priorities and conviction, in that sense, i suppose I do I have courage.
I wish there was an easy way to get the Bitcoin price into a spreadsheet easily like in excel. Any ideas?
I'm the only one. Some of them are smarter than me in other ways and wealthier too. I don't get it. Accountants, PhD types conspiracy theorists that don't like gov, you name it. None. I've had success with a few outside my fam tho.

I Love that second check before doing something otherwise stupid. @nvk and team thought of little details like this and I can think of no other company that is as focused on their craft when it comes to L1 #Bitcoin security.

I don't buy sats I sell fiat. Bitcoin is my money. Ya, that's the point that I'm at now.
I own no fiat, shares, funds, or anything else. My directed anger is peaked and IDGAF. I could have done TQQQ a while back and TSLA a while back and doubled my stack based on how much I would have done and when I would have done it, but I'm not playing the games of those who I distain in order to benefit myself. I know too much and at this point it's taking advantage of the broken system that impoverishes the majority of the world and steals time and lives for the sake of the few.
If I get rich and my children and their offspring live in a world where fiat lives and hidden and overt slavery continues to increases then it's all for not anyways.

Not all related things. Just interesting. As I take more self custody and considering I still couldn't buy a big enough home mortgage free it all plays into each other especially with a huge housing bubble in Canada
Interesting learnings for Canadian Bitcoiners yesterday.
#Bitcoin cannot be used for a down payment in Canada if it comes from self custody unless it's been in the fiat system as CAD for 90 days or comes from some other legacy investment vehicles like TFSA, RRSP or a trading account.
RRSPs cannot be touched if a person claims bankruptcy if the money has been in there for over a year, but they will expect you to sell your self custody Bitcoin if they know about it.
For pre-approvals, Bitcoin will not count towards a mortgage even if it's been sitting on chain for that 3 months and if it's pretty clear where it came from. It's like a black hole.

If so, you likely already have more than enough and the price doesn't matter if you can simply hold what you have and keep providing value to others and live within your means. The price quite literally doesn't matter if you are reasonable in your consumption and a productive individual.
Bitcoin is 100% of my savings. If enough people do that, it has already won, we just need to build the missing components to allow it to be a seamless transition from fiat for the normies.
If money works it is not profitable to know anything about it, because it just works. The more broken money is, the more profitable it is to know about if you wish to exploit the aspects of it that are broken.
By exploiting the broken system you become part of the problem taking personal advantage vs those who do not understand it. In our case this is especially true because the system doesn't even work if the faults are fully known and collapses if enough people understand it fully. The more who know about it, the faster it collapses. The system is quite literally held aloft through ignorance of the masses and violence.
Until recently, the only two options were
1. Not knowing and never gaining real wealth over generations without at least some knowledge of money
2. Knowing a certain amount which over time has way more effect than the actual value being provided to others.
Now there is a new option! #Bitcoin is a money that can actually fix the existing system. Bitcoin can cure the existing system and can therefore demonetize all the other assets trying to fill the void of either lack of portability (#gold) or the lack of hardness in the moneys designed to fix portability (fiat) or other assets entirely like land, index funds, real estate, bonds, collectables, which were not engineered to be money itself but rather augment an attribute that the fiat money lacked, namely scarcity.
If #Bitcoin wins, then you will profit far more than almost any other investment because it will demonetize these other assets and absorb so much value that everyone other than a very few people can even begin to comprehend.
If Bitcoin loses, then you are at significant risk of losing your stored time and energy or value taht you provided to others.
But #Bitcoin is the only way to have the potential of storing value without exploiting others directly or indirectly Because you are completely removing yourself from the system that chooses those who learn to exploit it for their own personal gain.
I am 100% Bitcoin. I do not participate in other assets that could decrease my risk while exploiting others should Bitcoin not win. Do you have the knowledge and bravery to do the same?
