Don't be a spoil sport. It was subjective in nature and a great answer IMO. I think it needs to allow more variance for other reasons he can't talk about it like security clearances etc. I think 50/50 is about right. He's trying to fix the world which is harder to do if his assets don't outstrip the underlying unit of account. His arrogance may lean him towards the spectrum of wanting fiat to accomplish what he believes is good, whether or not that is actually the best or not. He's a control freak.

Interesting exercise.

Here is ChatGPT-4.5 response:

"It's highly likely Elon Musk understands points 1, 2, and 3 clearly:

Natural state of free markets is deflation:

Musk has explicitly acknowledged the deflationary effects of technology multiple times—particularly how technological innovation inherently reduces costs and prices, benefiting consumers. His interviews frequently reflect awareness of exponential technologies and their broader economic implications.

Exponential technological gains should flow to society through lower prices:

Musk's business strategy explicitly leverages technology's deflationary nature—his companies like Tesla and SpaceX openly discuss driving down costs through technology, thereby democratizing access to electric cars, space travel, and internet connectivity (Starlink). This strongly suggests he fully understands this principle.

Centralized control as theft:

Musk has often spoken out against various forms of centralization and government overreach, signaling a libertarian-leaning economic viewpoint. His comments frequently critique regulation, monopoly power, and centralized bureaucracy—demonstrating he's well aware of the harm caused by centralized control systems.

The nuanced and complex part is your final assertion:

He doesn't comment positively on Bitcoin because it breaks the control system from which he benefits:

Musk has publicly supported cryptocurrencies (including Bitcoin, Dogecoin), though his views have oscillated. He has acknowledged Bitcoin’s decentralized qualities positively but has also criticized its energy consumption and environmental footprint. While Musk certainly benefits from the existing financial system—his companies access vast amounts of credit, subsidies, and governmental support—he has also publicly criticized parts of the financial and regulatory establishment. This indicates he understands the implications clearly but walks a careful line, balancing his critique with pragmatism and self-interest.

In short, the likelihood Musk knows and agrees with points 1–3 is extremely high (nearly certain). Regarding point 4, it's more complicated: he's certainly aware Bitcoin could disrupt centralized control systems, but attributing his occasional skepticism purely to self-interested preservation of control oversimplifies his motives. His stance likely mixes genuine concerns (environmental impacts, market stability, technical scalability) and pragmatic self-interest given his position in existing economic structures."

Grok really is better.

Speaking of repos, Is there no nostr specific Java class for conversion from npub to hex and back? I made one with the bitcoinj library but it was less than intuitive. If there isn't I could make one with those methods. Where should I post it so people know about it? I'm not a fully immersed Nostr dude.

I made a method specifically for my #Minecraft plugin that takes a verified character name and makes a #minecraftstr NIP-05 like on my profile by running a command in game. I could generalize the code.

GM.

I've given up X for lent. This is me posting into the voide that is nostr.

This will be hard. I don't get nearly as much information here.

So, the account is active on X again, the nostr verified nip-05 doesn't work on primal, his npub here is not referenced on X etc. this is a mess. NIP-05 on a reliable domain name is a great way of verification.

I'm having trouble getting up and running with boltz. RTL gives me an error when trying to make a swap like it get's html instead of json. (error 500 got < instead of json)

Also, this link is broken

https://github.com/BoltzExchange/boltz-client/blob/master/boltzrpc/rest-annotations.yaml

There's nothing here about the boltz server setup for RTL

I did my implementation in LNBits

FWIW, one of my strongest personal convictions comes from God nether being able to be proven or disproved. It seems like no matter how much a person knows or doesn't know if they're honest they're always on the fence. If CHOICE is designed for a purpose, it seems to be perfect.

Look at your own tug, you personally see the benefits of Christian society. There's something there that you like pulling you, and yet your logic pulls you away. Indeed Christianity is one of the most extreme claims and I as a Catholic have the most extreme claims of them all. God operates in the immaterial, it's not the same as studying history or science. Allow a little room for Him and seek. I believe what you find may surprise you.

Try "The Case for Christ"?

Pray to the God that isn't there. See what happens. In my experience he will meet you where you're at... But if you're honest you will always be on the fence because the choice is always yours. It's both frustrating and beautiful in my experience. He wants you to CHOOSE.

Like him or not, this is bullish AF.

Keep in mind a number of people here are legitimately autistic, some undiagnosed and they may not even understand why they're an asshole🤣

Absolutely. I'll be the first to say Canada has problem as does the USA, although they are different. Trump is doing WAY more right than wrong so far from what I can see. But it's interesting how many, especially people who can supposedly think, allow their thoughts to be guided once their guy/tribe/clan get in power. I mean lets be real, he's right leaning socially which is needed IMO and he's got many of the right ideas, but he's a shitcoiner and has his own share of idiotic moments. I usually say that Trump was the best choice and also will likely do a lot of good for the US but he's also an idiot😆

Stay vigilant. Stay sovereign.

I'm not saying tariffs are horrible idea, but in US blaming Canada and Mexico for its border problem... Interesting.

How did the narrative shift so fast from the US needing to protect its own border and having a horrible border Czar etc. to exporting that responsibility of border protection to others? I for one think it's better for a country to protect itself from people ENTERING the country. I think it's also appropriate for people to be able to leave their country with little intervention from their own government. Making it difficult to leave seems a bit too akin to COVID IMO. This is the opposite implementation of a sensible border crack down. If you need tariffs to encourage local economic growth and become more self sovereign, that's one thing and it even makes sense, but I think border protection should be the responsibility of the country that needs protecting. It's surprising how quickly someone can change their thought when the narrative suits their ends.

Hey, USA, take some responsibility for your border and if you need tariffs for other reasons, then tell it like it is. Your MONEY PRINTING allowed you to consume from the world and live off the backs of having the world reserve currency now there are many tasks you can no longer do locally. The privilege will end with sound money.

At first I was like, "What's that huge lump on your ankle. Then I realized it was jut soap suds. Carry on.

Bitcoiners and many libertarians: "I don't vote because the government doesn't make a difference."
