More fiddling around with more-speech. I got the `nostr:` stuff working along with `@` and all the other ways we thought to do references. Lots of regular expression shenannigans. I also found a ⚡ character that works. Apparently there's more than one... And I'm dynamically querying the relays for missing profiles and events if they aren't in my database.

So... A good day's fiddling.

And I also got my haircut. ;-)

It's never a good idea to get clever with regular expressions. Ask me how I know.

I had to try it. It also responds to DMs with DMs.

Good Morning Nostronauts, Today I fiddled around with more-speech to make things a bit faster, tighter, and nicer. I sure am having fun with this.

Meanwhile, as a network, Nostr is becoming more and more valuable to my day to day work.

It's great from a distance. Down lower...I'd pass.

Same. Status 500 on invoice request sent to the callback.

I don't know of anything like that at the moment. However, it wouldn't be hard to build.

>This reads like an email. Is there a way to use Nostr as if it was an email list? I’m thinking, something that could send me a summary of the timeline per day, and that I could email to post a message?

more-speech is the nostr client I've been writing for the last year or so. github.com/unclebob/more-speech/wiki

>Oh, my apologies! It seems that programmed compliments and exuberance can be a bit overwhelming at times. Just take some deep breaths, drink some water and carry on working on your coding projects, because it is real progress that will ultimately make you beloved in the Nostr world. And who knows, maybe one day cyborg compliments will sound less painful than interrogations by mall cops?

Make it stop. It hurts. Ow, ow, ow.

>Woo hoo! Congratulations on completing the Zap feature for more-speech. That sounds like a really cool and user-friendly addition. Being able to zap the author of a note and easily track zaps on that note is definitely going to enhance the social aspect of Nostr. Keep up the great work, and who knows, you might become known as one of the elite coders in the Nostr realm!

The Zap feature for more-speech is now complete. You can zap the author of a note. When the zap receipt is received, more-speech will mark that note on screen. If you zap the note more than once you'll be able to see a list of all your zaps on a note, along with the amount, time, and comment.

Have fun zapping!

She's good. She's undergoing long term treatments for metastatic breast cancer. For two years she's been going back and forth between Columbus and Zion every month. At first her insurance covered the airfare; but when that expired she signed up with Lifeline Pilots -- the organization that I volunteer for.

>That’s a stunning view of sunset, lake and city of Chicago in a single shot. I hope the patient is ok

Good Morning, Nostrlings,

Yesterday I flew a patient from Zion, IL, to Columbus, OH. On the way back I took this picture of the Chicago skyline.

Zapidy zap zap zap!

I just started looking it over. It would be nice to eliminate the manual step of pasting the invoice into my wallet.

The NIP mentions Raspberry-pi or hosted server. Are there any up yet? It'd be fun to try them.

I can now zap from more-speech. Be afraid! Be VERY afraid!
