Are you working on WoT? I spent some time working on a trust system for #urbit but I want to build it on Nostr. I have many questions and even more designs and ideas
Ok. Been meaning to publish this for a little while now.
I think reviews are an extremely underrated / under explored design space for application that want to leverage Nostr (in particular, the social graph).
In this essay, the first of a series I want to publish on nostr:npub1w0rthyjyp2f5gful0gm2500pwyxfrx93a85289xdz0sd6hyef33sh2cu4x, I break down:
- how reviews drive commerce
- despite their being broken / fake / easily gamed
- how the internet originally won
- what’s needed to make the internet functional again (upgraded stack)
- how this upgraded stack makes a whole new design spaces possible
- how ONE of the many things we’ll fix is reviews
- how we’re going about it with a project we’re calling Satlantis
nostr:npub18lzls4f6h46n43revlzvg6x06z8geww7uudhncfdttdtypduqnfsagugm3 - as promised. Put it up on highlighter.
nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m - this is what I was alluding to last week. That being said, I want to dig deeper on your particular comment, and I’ll do that in the next essay.
nostr:npub1sfhflz2msx45rfzjyf5tyj0x35pv4qtq3hh4v2jf8nhrtl79cavsl2ymqt - Thankyou for your early feedback 🙏🏽
Weird, this post keeps freezing the highlighter UI for me
Capital and weath is power also, but power over production and your own future. It's specifically those particular maniacs who want to wield power to *arbitrarily control other people's behavior* - that's how you get communists.
How is what you're describing different than just signing into a web-based client? Would your "public terminal" also be a relay? Something else?

Does Fountain.fm accept Bitcoin for its premium service? It would be a bit of a shame if they don't.
I just tried it in the Android app on GrapheneOS - no it takes you to Google Play subscription. :(
Silly!
📣 We need public NOSTR terminals
With landline phones, the address book used to be separate from the communication device. You just had your little black book and that’s all you needed. Didn’t really matter what phone you used.
THAT was real freedom. And Nostr can bring it back.
Every home, library, street corner should have a terminal. All I need is my signing device to sign the message.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/06/23/landline-telephone-holdouts/
Yes! Oh man I had an old urbit post that was eerily similar. Lost it in a breach unfortunately. But rather than public telephone I took the angle of "scifi computer terminal screen where it is personalized for whoever is currently using it" (by signing device, same idea)
It's early stages, but yes, we're looking at implementing a Nostr relay in the SSI, yes. We already have large file storage/serving (for media uploads). A Vaporware ship will make a perfect all-in-one personal Nostr backend.
The benefits flow the other way, too: vaporware app developers might find they just want to drop down to existing Nostr capabilities for certain features, rather than implementing in their own app.
Depending on how the connection between Nostr keys and vaporware keys are handled, I can imagine a world where the lines between the two things are very unclear - in a good way! "Vaporware is your Nostr persistence layer, function-runner, content host, wallet; Nostr is your Vaporware social layer, chat, app marketplace, etc"
I'm glad you asked 😉
What is this "global" you're talking about?
A fellow scythe-wielder on Nostr! I haven't gotten mine out this season yet. I think I have to get better at sharpening and honing (or technique? Or my target, perhaps...) because last season I was starting to get really bad results and got frustrated with it.
This note is from gossip. and i love it already.

Sick fucking bot. I love this
I was cutting and de-seeding a jalapeno bare handed. I finished, then went to the bathroom a short time later.
A few minutes afterwards I started to notice an odd tingling sensation....that slowly escalated into full-on burning.
I'll just say that milk doesnt work on skin as well as on your tongue. Nor a slice of bread.
I got jalapeño spiciness on my wiener once. True story; not recommended.
Sheetstr is a raw HTML+Javascript app I wrote in the past 4 hours or so. The code is terrible, but it is here: https://github.com/vitorpamplona/sheetstr
It basically integrates the interface of univer.ai with Nostr. It's super easy to use and Apache-licensed.
4 hours with AI help or no? No judgement, just curious!
