Today is a second pot of coffee kind of day.

I fed DALLE-3 a selfie of me to make this image, and this is what it thinks I look like. Pretty accurate except for the goofy handlebar mustache.

Also, not being able to delete (effectively) doesn’t mean one wouldn’t change their mind (folks will screen shot a tweet and reveal it years later anyway). It means you put out thoughts and perspectives in real time, and if someone brings up an old note that you’ve changed your mind on you can speak to that. Greater levels of communication, honesty, and admitting mistakes or evolved perspectives rather than pretending we’re all stagnant beings.

Also nostr doesn’t incentivize clickbate or divisive rhetoric (for the sake of divisiveness), because there isn’t a rage algorithm committing it out to every eyeball on the platform. Sure, there will be trolls and anomalies to this.

Pornography is corrosive to relationships.

Much of the sex portrayed in porn is a reliving of childhood sexual trauma. If that's what you're getting off to that is what you will be attracted to.

When a man watches porn they train their sexual response to seek constant novelty. This makes monogamous relationships much less appealing.

Porn addiction is rampant in society and it's hard to get away from it because marketers are using sex to sell products everywhere.

I don't write any of this to pass judgement, but to illuminate a problem that many many struggle with.

If you are in the habit of watching porn I'd like to challange you to go one month without it and see how you feel.

nostr is good because you can choose your client and clients have a wide variety of philosophies

it will never change from this, because a client can run on your pc

It might not work like this in other clients but in amethyst if I have the npub of the person I want to tag I just put the @ followed by the npub and the handle populates. If I know the handle and I add the @ and start typing it, sometimes it populates. If it doesn't then I go to nostr.band and search the handle to find the npub to add it to my note... Not the most straightforward workflow but that's how I do it. I would be curious if anyone else has a easy way too.
