I have literally never seen a bt influencer change a bluecheck’s mind about bitcoin.

They drop these horrible takes (divisible = unlimited supply) and so many flock in to “help”.

We are how many years in now? The proper response is hfsp and then mute them.

They aren’t here for clarification. They are telling the world their “facts”. If they wanted the truth, they would be asking questions. Stop feeding them. Block them and don’t reply.

Them not understanding the corn means it’s working and their ignorance will be left behind.

This is a feature, not a bug.

Many bitcoiners think establishment powers are now in the "and then they join you" phase of the struggle.

I don't. I think they're more entering the earlier "and then they fight you" phase.

Or more specifically, they are happy to join in on the price exposure side (i.e. ETFs), but they are fighting against privacy (especially) and self-custody (to some extent). The struggle for financial privacy, custody, and overall self-autonomy is just heating up.

The gradual shift of critics from "bitcoin is a useless speculative asset with no intrinsic value" to "bitcoin is so powerful that direct usage of it must be curtailed" can be dangerous.

Anyone recommend a guide to setting up firewall rules?

The fact that Bitcoin isn't yet accepted everywheree and for everything really underlines for me how few people have actually used Lightning. Whenever I show somebody how it works, there's always that "wow" moment. But why was it a surprise?

The problem is that normal people still understand BTC from the one half-remembered opinion piece they read in 2017, and are operating under the belief that transactions still take an hour to settle, rather than being instantaneous and irreversible — money transmission without the Paypal Problem. The public mind needs a cache refresh.

Don’t get mad at companies for obeying the law (if they didn’t, they simply would quit existing) get mad when they lie about it.
