I don't see what's odd about any of this. The real game is seeing how much weak food you can get away with to bring down your cost of living without giving up too much future/quality time.

I can only speak to my experience. Seeing a basic circuit with switches leading to a light bulb run through the truth tables of basic operators made it click for me. seeing there was no magic at the base layer allowed me to see its not magic on the scaled up version.
