Used CloneZilla to copy my Umbrel node to a larger disk space. Local pleb helped out by connecting both drives to a desktop and booting with CloneZilla. Pretty smooth transition…took less than 30 mins to clone. No lightning channels were closed in the process.

The only hiccup was that Umbrel recognized the new drive as the smaller size. Used ChatGPT to troubleshoot. Had to ssh into Umbrel, update the partition size and filesystem size. Umbrel then immediately recognized the new partition size.

To date, I’ve been a fan of RfK. But after watching your interviews, and Natalie’s interview of Vivek, I’m now surprisingly leaning Vivek.

Haven’t used it but looking at it now. Interesting that in order to acquire the voucher, you have a selection of merchants to purchase from. Merchants appears to have a 10% markup. I guess the customer would weigh that option, along with privacy benefits, against options that offer similar redemptions at similar markups (i.e. ATM machines, where available).

Blockworks Macro….although does hit on bitcoin occasionally.

Bedford with a convincing 2-0 win today in the FA Vase Cup tournament. Off to round 3.

Real Bedford drop one 1-4 today. Tough day when they controlled possession most of the game. Hard one to swallow. Gotta come back strong next week.

https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/americas-finance-guide they have a quote from Thomas Jefferson, "We might hope to see the finances of the Union as clear and intelligible as a merchant’s books, so that every member of Congress, and every person of any mind in the Union should be able to comprehend them, to investigate abuses, and consequently to control them."

1) Finances are not clear and intelligible, including that of CPI

2) 99% of the Union do not comprehend them, never mind investigate abuses (as I'll show below) to help control them.

Also embedded on that site, they show the Revenue, Spending, Deficit, and Debt. For Spending, they state "The U.S. government has spent $5.30 trillion in fiscal year 2023 to ensure the well-being of the people of the United States." - ("well-being"....what a flipping joke)

And they justify the Debt by stating, "The national debt enables the federal government to pay for important programs and services for the American public." - soooo...let's go into debt to pay for important programs and services. If I ran my household budget this way, I'd be in jail.

They also admit the recurrence of a deficit: "As the federal government experiences reoccurring deficits, which is common, the national debt grows." - 🤯

Lastly, they point to saying 'it's ok...the sky isn't falling' by showing the Debt-to-GDP ratio and how we've been able to manage it over time. With current average interest rates at 2.07%, the monetary policy stance of higher for longer, is just going to blow things out of proportion (and they've published this). One more black swan and that published 124% Debt to GDP will go to 150%...then 200%...then 300% overnight.

Chapter 5: The Power of Bitcoin

The Bitcoin Express continued its journey, and the children sat in their seats, eager to learn more about the power of Bitcoin. Suddenly, the train came to a stop, and they heard a voice announce, "Welcome to the Power of Bitcoin Exhibit!"

Excited to learn more, the children quickly hopped off the train and entered the exhibit. Inside, they saw different displays showcasing the unique features of Bitcoin that make it a powerful currency.

The first display showed how Bitcoin is decentralized. The children learned that Bitcoin is not controlled by any government or financial institution, which means that it is not subject to their rules or regulations. Instead, it is run by a network of computers around the world, which ensures that no one person or group can control it.

The second display showed how Bitcoin is secure. The children saw how every Bitcoin transaction is recorded on a public ledger called the blockchain, which makes it almost impossible to cheat or hack the system. They also learned that Bitcoin transactions are anonymous, which means that no one knows who is making the transaction.

The third display showed how Bitcoin is fast and efficient. The children saw how Bitcoin transactions are completed almost instantly, which is much faster than traditional bank transfers that can take days or even weeks to complete. They also learned that Bitcoin transactions have very low fees compared to traditional bank transactions, making it a great option for people who want to save money on fees.

As the children explored the exhibit, they saw a group of people discussing how Bitcoin can be used to buy things online or in person, and how it can also be used to send money to friends and family around the world. They approached the group and listened as they explained how easy it is to use Bitcoin, and how it can be used just like any other currency.

The children were amazed to see how Bitcoin can be used to buy things and send money all over the world. They realized that Bitcoin is a powerful currency that has the potential to change the way people think about money and how they use it.

As the discussion came to an end, the children boarded the Bitcoin Express, feeling excited and empowered by what they had learned about the power of Bitcoin. They knew that Bitcoin was not just a new way to pay for things, but also a powerful tool that could help create a more fair and decentralized economy for everyone.

Epilogue: The Future of Money

As the Bitcoin Express continued its journey, the children sat back in their seats and reflected on all they had learned about the history and future of money. They were amazed by how much money had changed over time, and how Bitcoin was poised to become the future of money.

The children realized that the world is rapidly changing, and that Bitcoin will play an important role in shaping the future of money. They knew that they were lucky to have learned about Bitcoin at such a young age, and that they could use this knowledge to help shape the world in a positive way.

As the Bitcoin Express pulled into the station, the children said goodbye to each other and promised to stay in touch. They knew that they had formed a special bond, and that they would always remember the amazing adventure they had shared together.

The children left the train feeling excited about the future, and ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead. They knew that with Bitcoin, they had the power to create a more fair and decentralized economy for everyone.

And with that, the Bitcoin Express pulled out of the station and continued its journey, carrying with it the hopes and dreams of a new generation of young people who were ready to shape the future of money.

Chapter 4: The Decentralized Economy

The Bitcoin Express continued its journey, and the children sat in their seats, eagerly awaiting the next adventure. Suddenly, the train came to a stop, and they heard a voice announce, "Welcome to the Decentralized Economy Exhibit!"

Excited to learn more, the children quickly hopped off the train and entered the exhibit. Inside, they saw different displays showcasing the benefits of a decentralized economy.

The first display showed how a decentralized economy can help protect people's privacy. The children learned that in a decentralized economy, people can control their own money without having to rely on banks or other financial institutions that may collect their personal information.

The second display showed how a decentralized economy can be more fair. The children saw how, in a centralized economy, a few people at the top can control the flow of money and make decisions that benefit them. In a decentralized economy, however, everyone has an equal say in how things are done.

The third display showed how a decentralized economy can be more stable. The children saw how, in a centralized economy, the government or a few large corporations can control the economy, which can lead to instability. In a decentralized economy, however, there are many different people and businesses participating, which can lead to a more stable economy.

As the children explored the exhibit, they saw a group of people discussing how a decentralized economy can help people who live in countries with unstable governments or weak financial systems. They approached the group and listened as they explained how Bitcoin can be used to provide people with access to a stable currency that is not controlled by any government or financial institution.

The children were amazed to see how Bitcoin and the decentralized economy can help people all over the world. They realized that Bitcoin is not just a new way to pay for things, but also a way to help create a more fair and stable economy for everyone.

As the discussion came to an end, the children boarded the Bitcoin Express, feeling excited and hopeful about the future of money and the potential for Bitcoin to help create a better world for everyone.
