I can sub to #kbin magazines (communities) from Lemmy (and vice versa) so it doesn’t matter which you pick. Lemmy seems to be more mature so it’s the better experience so far for me. Both are run by nostr:npub12lxtr540euchz3wpu4l745spze9fesue5lcentzceegq04ftzzxsajjvjy so nothing to compare on the admin front (and you know they are well run).
