Summarizing my thoughts about the latest escalation between China vs Taiwan.
This war is different.
It's not a religious war like the one between Israel and Palestinians/Radical-Islam, about destroying the other side out of fear that the other side will destroy you, about devine promises of holy lands, and which regime gets to tax the population in the name of God.
It's not the war in Ukraine, a territory rich with resources, energy pipelines to Europe, and fear from NATO/Russian overreach used as an excuse to promote ultra-nationalism.
It's a war on the hearts and minds of the Taiwanese people. It's about exhausting them enough so they give up on any political independence. It's about proving them that the "free world" is hypocrite, and would rather do business with China than with Taiwan - and sell the Chinese regime the hanging rope with which they will hang the Taiwanese resistance.
I can't say I know a lot about the the history of the region, but it seems that the only way for the democratically-elected Taiwanese political class to survive, and save Taiwan, is to adopt a decentralized anarchist approach and promote self-custody and privacy. To defend the central points-of-failure from Chinese intervention by simply not having them.
#Bitcoin won't prevent all wars. It won't prevent religious wars and it won't prevent wars over natural resources. But maybe it can prevent this war.

I want to believe this #Pluribus scene is a metaphor for politicians who offer free stuff.
East-Asia's gold culture is beautiful.
It's more than just western IoU paper-notes of gold in government vaults that haven't been audited for decades.
It is self-custodial, or visible in the community temple.
Gold in East-Asia also has family & community bonding rituals around it.
The #Bitcoin community can learn a few things from the East-Asia goldbugs, like how to teach the next generation that Bitcoin is more than a get-rich-quick scheme.
