Crypto tax rules for 2025 are changing again...
I've summarized them below (and added in details about the newest change!) 1/20 🧵
Lmao so perfect I absolutely love it. Dudes out there reading tea leaves and try to time the market.
And even when that $53 hits your bank account the transaction still isn't truly settled.

He seems like a nice guy to have a beer with. But he's awful at his job.
I got that now - thanks. Tones got that tradetard mindset of thinking he can beat the market
Exactly. There are so many layers to this shit sandwich it's unbelievable
capital gains tax. Someone stated this is his retirement account though which i'd argue makes it even dumber to be actively trading an account like this
Ah i think that makes it even dumber actually. Trying to trade bitcoin to remove it's volatility in an account designated for long-term holding is super high time preference activity for what should be a low-time preference account. And we all know how bitcoin moves, often times unpredictably and in huge jumps. Trading in and out means you're much more likely to miss these moves.
I remember Tone trying to "debate" with Roger Ver which was always such an absolute cringefest.
It gets even worse when he says he wasn't wrong by selling and potentially avoiding an unrealized loss? Sounds like he's just trying to maximize cap gains taxes.

This PSA brought to you by an "expert trader". Sell low, buy back higher, pay cap gains. 🤣
